Ulster duo BJ Botha and Stephen Ferris have handed the province a major fitness boost ahead of the resumption of Magners League action.
Both players have been named in Ulster's squad to face Biarritz in the Heineken Cup this weekend and will be in-line for starts in next week’s trip to Edinburgh.
The duo both picked up injuries in their nail-biting draw against Connacht last month as Ulster lost their 100-per-cent record at The Sportsground.
Ireland flanker Ferris damaged his ribs while former Springbok Botha picked up a wrist injury.
The return of two of the province’s most-respected players will be a major plus for Brian McLaughlin's men who have made a promising start to their Magners League season. They are so far unbeaten in the league having chalked up four wins and a draw and currently sit in third place in the standings.
They began their European campaign with a bonus-point win over Aironi and are understandably in confident mood ahead of Saturday’s trip to France.
That Heineken Cup clash is followed by an away match in Edinburgh and successive matches against the only two teams currently above them in the Magners League table.
Ulster face a provincial derby against league leaders Munster on October 29 at Ravenhill before taking on Cardiff Blues in the Welsh capital on November 21.
