The Leinster squad to face Edinburgh in Saturday evening’s Magners League clash at the RDS (KO: 6.05pm) could be boosted by the return of second row Ed O’Donoghue (knee) who has stepped up his rehabilitation from injury this week.

With a number of the Ireland contingent away in international camp this week, there will be a blend of youth and experience in this week’s squad with the experience of Leo Cullen, Nathan Hines, Shane Jennings and Isa Nacewa allied to the youth the likes of Eoin O’Malley and Dominic Ryan, a try scorer in the 18-6 victory over Connacht at the Sportsground on Saturday evening.

With no fresh injuries to report, ticket sales for Saturday’s game are already approaching the 15,500 mark. The team is expected to be announced on Friday lunchtime.
