Aironi name team to face Scarlets

After this morning’s Captain’s Run, Aironi’s coaching staff have named the team to face Scarlets on Saturday evening at 7.05 pm (6.05 pm GMT) at Zaffanella Stadium.

New head coach Rowland Phillips is without six players called up by Italy to face Fiji in the last November test-match, which gives an opportunity to players that has not yet played this season.

The line-up shows Julien Laharrague at fullback with Giulio Toniolatti and Rodd Penney on the wings and Gabriel Pizarro and Matteo Pratichetti in the centre.

Michael Wilson return to action at scrum half after being injured against the Ospreys while New Zealander James Marshall will make his Aironi debut.

Italian international flanker Josh Sole comes back to action at No. 6, joining Simone Favaro Nick Williams in the back row.
19-year old Joshua Furno and Marco Bortolami (who will skippering Aironi for the second time this season) are confirmed in the second row. The front row is completely new, with props Matias Aguero and Fabio Staibano making their first starts of the season, with Roberto Santamaria hooking.
