The Dragons’ torrid injury crisis is showing no signs of improving with Jason Tovey, Nigel Hall and Phil Price the latest casualties.

Hall has received the news that he will miss the rest of the season after rupturing an Achilles tendon.

The 32-year-old prop has only missed one Magners League match for the Welsh region this year and his absence will cause a front row headache for the coaching team.

Tovey and Price will both miss the Dragons’ trip to London Wasps in the European Cup this weekend but are hopeful to make a return ahead of the derby match against Cardiff Blues at Rodney Parade on December 27.

Captain Tom Willis, Dan Lydiate and Luke Charteris all missed the first of the back-to-back games against the English Premiership side and but coach Paul Turner could be boosted if Lydiate and Charteris pass fitness tests.
