Scott MacLeod and Chris Fusaro are out of the second leg of the 1872 Cup derby clash at Murrayfield on Sunday following their joint sending off in Glasgow Warriors’ 30-18 home win over Edinburgh on Monday.

The two forwards were dismissed in the 80th minute by Andrew Macpherson following a report of foul play from one of his touch judges. They were sent-off under Law 10.4 (a) – punching or striking.

Edinburgh’s international lock MacLeod and Warriors flanker Fusaro appeared before a Scottish Rugby Union disciplinary panel chaired by Douglas Hunter on Wednesday night where they were both given a week long suspension.

It means the players are banned from playing up to and including Monday, 3 January. Warriros will be seekign to make it five wins in a row over their old rivals and move up the Magners League table.
