Leinster and Ulster look to be the sides flying the flag for Magners League teams in this year’s European Cup.
Leinster have already qualified for the knock-out stages of this year’s tournament following their 43 – 20 triumph over Saracens at the weekend and travel to play Racing Metro in their final pool fixture next weekend.
Ulster’s 9 – 6 victory over last season’s European Cup finalists Biarritz Olympique keeps their quarter-final hopes alive and they look set to qualify as one of two pool runners-up.
Brian McLaughlin’s side travel to Italy to face Magners League rivals Aironi next weekend and a victory plus other results in their pool going their way could see Ulster qualify as pool winners.
Munster, Scarlets and the Blues are still all in with a chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages of the Amlin Challenge Cup if they can make the runners-up spot in each of their European Cup pools.
