Cardiff Blues wing Leigh Halfpenny handed Wales a major injury worry last night after being stretchered from the training field with their opening RBS 6 Nations clash against England just four days away.

The 22-year-old missed the autumn international series with an ankle injury, but his return to fitness and try-scoring form in recent weeks had been a major boost to Warren Gatland but now the squad must await the results of scans on the injury.

Wales host England in the opening game of this season's championship, kick off is at 7:45pm at the Millennium Stadium.
