Darren Edwards was delighted to see his Dragons side clinch their first double over Magners League Champions the Ospreys as he kicked off his reign as permanent head coach in style.

Edwards spoke of pride after the game as the Dragons backed up their 21 v 16 victory at the Liberty Stadium earlier in the season with a thrilling 32 v 28 win on the weekend.

“I feel very proud right now,” said Edwards.

“I have said to them we need to play rugby to win games and I am really proud of the performance as well as being proud of the group.

“I have got the philosophy that you need to try and make things happen and I think we fully deserved the bonus point victory

“We fully deserved to win what was a thrilling match and we played very well.

"I have total faith in the players, we have got some special players and it’s nice to get some credit for what is happening here.

"There is an ambition and desire to do well and with the stadium upgrade it’s going to be a special future. Our supporters were amazing last night."
