Glasgow Warriors head coach Sean Lineen has confirmed his bench for the RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Benetton Treviso at Firhill tomorrow night (kick-off 7.30pm).

Johnnie Beattie is named among the replacements, having recovered from a knee injury. The back-row forward is thus in line for his first Warriors involvement of the season.

Friday’s fixture will have a United Colours For Benetton theme, with supporters invited to wear their club or school jersey to provide a visual demonstration of just how many groups and walks of life come under the Warriors banner, and how proud the club are to represent them on two of the biggest stages in European rugby – the RaboDirect PRO12 and Heineken Cup.

Darren Allan (Boclair Academy), John Barnes (High School of Glasgow) and Jack Naismith (Paisley Grammar School) helped Johnnie Beattie and Duncan Weir promote the initiative at Scotstoun yesterday (see picture). The youngsters also took part in the under-16 Warriors Schools 7s, sponsored by Greenbelt.

Tickets for Treviso are available via www.glasgowwarriors.org, by calling 0844 800 3490, or in person at the Greaves Sports stores on Gordon Street and Sauchiehall Street or at Firhill on the night. Adults £15 (£20 if purchased after 5pm on Thursday); students/senior citizens £10; under-18s £5. Super value 2011/12 Warriors season tickets also still on sale. See www.glasgowwarriors.org for full details.
