Henson suspended by Blues

Cardiff Blues’ Gavin Henson has been suspended by his club over allegations of misconduct on an aircraft.

Henson had been part of the Blues side that went down to a 31-3 RaboDirect PRO12 defeat against Glasgow Warriors on Friday night.

The exact nature of what occurred on the plane has yet to be revealed by the club but Henson’s future will be decided in a management meeting on Monday.

A Cardiff Blues spokesman said: “We can confirm that Gavin Henson has been suspended with immediate effect following an incident on the flight back from Scotland after their match against Glasgow Warriors.

“The Cardiff Blues management team will meet first thing Monday morning to discuss the matter further.”

Henson had played just the last 15 minutes of the Friday night defeat against the Warriors which left the Blues seventh in the RaboDirect PRO12 table.
