Dragons back rows Ieuan Jones and Hywel Stoddart are looking to make their first league appearances as senior Dragons players after being named in Darren Edwards’ squad for this weekend’s game against leinster (Saturday, 6:15pm, RDS, Dublin)

Stoddart appeared for the Dragons last season on permit from the Premiership and his performances on the pitch as well as during the pre-season as one of the “dirty dozen” has been rewarded with the trip to Ireland.

Young gun Hallam Amos has also boosted the Dragons squad, 2 weeks shy of his 18th birthday.

Dan Lydiate is out with a sternum injury but is expected to be back for the derby with Cardiff Blues next weekend whilst Andrew Coombs is expected to be out for 6-8 weeks with a knee injury.
