Benetton Treviso captain Antonio Pavanello insists the Ospreys are now a completely different kettle of fish to the side which lost their opening RaboDirect PRO12 encounter at the Stadio Monigo.
The two sides meet in the Heineken Cup at the Liberty Stadium on Friday with the Welsh side fresh from three successive RaboDirect PRO12 victories.
Treviso also come into the game with momentum after recording their first away win of the season at Edinburgh last weekend.
And second row Pavanello has urged his team to continue that form in Swansea at a ground where historically they have struggled in recent seasons.
He said: “The Ospreys are a team who play good rugby with a great set-piece, their scrum and lineout.
“It’s going to be a big battle and we know whoever wins the battle up front will probably win the match.
“We know them well from the first game of the season when they came here and lost.
“We aren’t in the Heineken Cup just to make up the numbers so we will be going to Swansea to win.
“Our record at the Liberty Stadium isn’t great but that has just been because we haven’t played well there, not for any other reason about the ground.”
