Two Guinness Pro12 teams were in European action on Friday night, and both recorded impressive victories.
Glasgow Warriors stunned Racing 92 in the European Rugby Champions Cup and Newport Gwent Dragons got the better of Worcester in the European Rugby Challenge Cup.
Glasgow head coach Gregor Townsend delighted with crowd’s role in win:
“It’s brilliant being here on a Friday night when the team play like that and the atmosphere is like it was out there.
“I was really excited going into the game – it just felt like this is why we’re here as players and coaches, to play against the top teams on nights like these.
Dragons boss Kingsley Jones philosophical after victory:
“We were disappointed at half-time but the second-half performance was reasonable. Disappointed not to get that [bonus-point] try but you’ve got to celebrate the wins.
“We’ve got to go the hard way [to the quarter-finals], we still have to beat Enisei at home but we need to be in a position to go to Brive and have everything to play for.”
