Both Munster and Leinster recovered from Champions Cup semi-final heartache to secure much-needed victories in the Guinness PRO12 this weekend.

Munster rallied strongly to take home a 34-14 bonus-point win over Treviso and maintain the pressure on Leinster at the top.

Meanwhile, Leo Cullen’s troops secured a dramatic victory over Glasgow Warriors at the RDS Arena after a late rally from the Scottish side in a 61-point thriller.

With little over a month to go before the British & Irish Lions tour to New Zealand gets underway, players were looking to keep up the momentum.

DAVIES MAKES HIS MARK

Scarlets centre Jonathan Davies showed exactly why he’s been named in Warren Gatland’s squad with a fine display against Connacht.

The 29-year-old made two offloads, one break and travelled 62 metres during the comfortable 30-8 victory against the Irish outfit.

Davies has one Lions tour under his belt already and could play an integral part in overcoming the All Blacks next month.

HENDERSON SHINES

Despite it being a difficult weekend for Ulster, back-rower Iain Henderson put in a glittering performance to show off his Lions credentials.

The 25-year-old will be heading on his first Lions tour and kept up his good form with 14 tackles during the defeat to play-off chasing Ospreys.

His tackling display was only beaten by 27-year-old flanker Sean Reidy, who has produced a league best 244 tackles this campaign.

ALL-ROUND SEYMOUR

Tommy Seymour will be looking to cap off a fine season against Edinburgh this Saturday, ahead of his maiden Lions tour.

No Glasgow Warriors player has produced more breaks than the 28-year-old in the Guinness PRO12 this season.

The talented winger has also made 676 metres during the season, only Nick Grigg has travelled further for the Warriors in 2016/17.

The Guinness PRO12 Final takes place on May 27 at Aviva Stadium, Dublin. Fans can guarantee their place by booking their tickets via www.ticketmaster.ie
