Munster suffered a blow tonight from the Warriors who were back on form with Dan Parks making 19 points to the excitement of the Hughenden crowd.
Before the game the Warriors had to rearrange themselves as Francisco Leonelli was replaced by Colin Shaw due to a pulled calf injury. Unfortunately for Shaw he too received an injury and had to be stretchered of midway through first half.
Munster handed the Warriors a simple penalty chance, which they converted. Determined not to let this hinder them Munster fought back applying pressure which eventually paid off in the 15th minute.
Then followed a back and forth exchange of scoring Munster getting first blood but quickly followed by the Warriors. Each side then scored well played trys to continue the back and forth scoring.
In the second half Parks made his presence felt again with his fourth penalty followed by a sensational interception and 70 metre dash to complete the score. Converting the kick to increase the margin to 18 points.
Munster finished with a try from Tom O’Leary and Eoghan Hickey with the goal but it was not enough to secure victory.
